Creative Highlights
The Heart of Robin Hood score consisted of several fights, a dance, songs, and underscoring. Robin Hood and Maid Marion's music themes came together at the end and were counter melodies throughout the show. One of my favorite themes to work on was Prince John's theme, as I love big, dark heavy percussion and brass. In addition, I made it a point to give all other character themes fairly common time signatures (4/4, 3/4, or 6/8), while John had irregular signatures such as 5/4 or 7/8. I found it gave his music an off putting energy which was perfect for his scenes.
