Creative Highlights

The 39 Steps was a wild ride through multiple countries, settings, complete with a huge music score and sound effects score as well. There is a train chase and crash, a plane chase and crash, dark unsettling moors, romance, intrigue... One of the largest and zaniest shows I have had the pleasure to collaborate on. One of my favorite aspects of research was revisiting the music of Hitchcock films and discovering some epic and loud brass software instruments. QLab programming involved mixing stems live in the space, one of my favorite ways to work with music I write for theatre. When you can't have a pocket symphony orchestra on all of your shows, it's the next best thing!
